Our math/art journey originated with a fascination with a particular pattern called E8, a Lie algebraic group, that theoretical physicists think might describe the structure of the universe. When we saw the visual representation of this mathematical model, we had a EUREKA moment when we realized that, of course, the structure of the universe, the math that makes up everything, would appear beautiful to us.
That it may be the origin of beauty itself. It was the definition of resonance, a connection to something deeper that made us want to explore further. To express this idea, we started HYBYCOZO, an arts collective to bring 3D forms and geometric pattern to the world. Since then, we have learned about so many fascinating concepts in physics, art, islamic geometry etc.. that we thought it was time to share it with the world! That was the beginning of MAE... |
